This is a top player, its also free (open source) the one I have on my K-Jam plays almost any video format I throw at it, including SmartMovie encoded files. And now it is released for UIQ (an alpha version atm).

More info Here

Edit The second url posted keeps getting automatically edited every time I post it, maybe the site has been blocked by esato.

However, you can go Here to get the link and an available download.

wonder where you heard about tcpmp?

well, even if it wasn't from me I have been blabbing about this since before it was called tcpmp (it was originally called betaplayer) and if the symbian version is as good as the pocket pc/windows mobile version then I will continue to recommend it

lets hope they do a version for the P990!

Well it was from you, and it is the best software I have ever had on a mobile device. The fact its free as well. I wonder what damage it will do to the creators of SmartMovie.

well i got the beta for the symbian it doesnt do much yet. it plays the first file in your media folder and thats it. so i am looking forward to future releases. it has a long way to go and the developer said he had a few things to fix up on the palm/pocketpc one then he would go back to working on the symbian version.

Well, I would like to test it, but I can't find it anywhere
Btw, the second link doesn't work either!

The closest I got was this link, but there is no symbian/UIQ version:
