Hey, I tried the search but couldn't find anything, please redirect me if this has been covered! I'm looking for some software to convert some movies I have which are .avi, or just straight from DVD to a file format the w800i can play.

i have tried these settings for my w800i and it just will not play smoothly.
whether converted from an avi or vob files it just keeps skipping and stopping.
the only way that i can get smooth playback is to have the bit rate around 100 but then the quality isnt very good.
any ideas as i have done the latest firmware update and was worried that this may be what has caused my problems.

i use nero recode for conversion of my xvid movies to mp4 and it works great even at high bitrates - i use 192kbps for the video and 64 kbps for the audio for a combined total of 256kbps - this plays great on my k750i without any stutters or pauses - i'm using a 1gb MSDP card to store the movies
