contacts is the biggest folder - can it be put on the stick? I can't seem to find it in the file manager on the phone.

thanks

It's not possible to move to the memory stick the "internal" data files of apps you can't add/remove from the installed apps menu.

many thanks

am i right in thinking that a master rest will remove all applications and data - therefore - since I have an apple mac powerbook (that has always synced very nicely with the phone) how on earth do I get the applications back on the phone?

I can store games and applications on the memory stick. When in the Games folder in the File Manager, select More and then save the file(s) on the memory stick. You can do this with all your themes and MMS images and the like. Take the stick out before performing the master reset and you should be ok.

If you're able to get to a PC prior to performing the master reset, a program like MyPhoneExplorer will let you backup your contacts and messages and profiles etc prior to a master rest as well. You can restore them afterwards very easily. The only thing that at this stage cannot be backup up is your voice tags, custom dictionary and certain parts of the contacts.

also when doing a master reset, you are given the option to keep or remove any of the extra software that u have installed, so you dont have to loose your apps
