This ones a classic,had to post this,a 12 year old school student in the u.s has written an Essay threating G.W.Bush and some major u.s corporations.

The original assignment asked the students to write an essay describing their favourite day.The boy wrote it would involve unspecified violence against Bush, Coca-Cola Co. and Wal-Mart Stores executives,and TV talkshow host Oprah Winfrey.

The boy turned in the single-page assignment on Tuesday, and his teacher alerted school officials. and the then secret service showed up to question the lad..I say what a god damm hero,its a smack in the face of the u.s government that even small kids are turning against the system.

Its was pathetic for the school to call in the FBI over something the kid felt strongly about and has america sunk to new lows that they will go around arresting 12 year old children for fear of attack?

The American Civil Liberties Union rightly said that the "The student was engaged in a rhetorical, if angry, exercise of speech,"

unfortunately the secret service is not known for it's sense of humour, and i believe is obliged to investigate any and all reported threats regardless of how spurious they may be. i'm not saying it's always a good thing, but it is their job.

i'd have thought calling in a student councillor rather than the authorities would be a bit more helpful.

funny story about this. its ACTUALLY affecting my work at my job. i do some work for Coca-Cola, and now coca cola for some reason isnt selling certain things that we need for our work due to this. they say all work should resume normally by friday.
