bad news guys,
unless you can't glean from the title, i carefully modded my phone, spent almost 3 hours last nite, switched to the famous black/orange hybrid.
nothing went wrong, except when i took out the antenna, my hand brushed the metal on it and one of the metal lines got bent a bit. it's held to the antenna by plastic bumps. i coudlnt' get it back on, so i thought it'd be fine.
when i put my phone back together, everythign works, except "SEARCHING... no network found"
absolutley ZERO reception..
should i take it apart AGAIN?!?! does anyone know exactly HOW the antenna works?!?! isn't it just stand alone? are there any other connections to maek it work?

Well, at the risk of stating the obvious, that contact you bent resulted in a disconnected or shorted antenna. You'll need to open it back up and put that wire back in place. If you can't, you may need a new antenna.

thanks for the help, but i don't think you understand. this is how bent it is. this isn't even part of the circuit!! it shuldn't ss!! i'm going to try super gluing it tonight, since it won't snap back in. how can it cause the antenna to stop completley?

so i looked for another ss. i was actually thinking it was this: see the small gold/metal thing in the bottom - in my k750i it was straight, but here in this organe w800i case, it has to bend a little just to fit in. does anyone know what it even does/1?!

any help would be GREAT guys. i'm at a loss here. lol, what's the use of a beautiful phone that doesn't call anyone?!~?

are you taking about the metal pin type thing on the bottom left corner near you're hand? if so thats where you hook up the neckstrap thingy.
a new one from ebay

and also if possible and if you have enough confidence left find another k750i and switch the main board and see.
