> K750i and Opera Mini bug

I just spent the last 2 hours trying to get Opera Mini working. It was weird, because I have a GPRS data account, and everything seemed good. I could send/receive text/SMS mesages and even go on the internet with the default K750i built in browser.
Well, what I learned is this: when you first stat up Opera Mini, it checks for internet connection. This was failing every time. 3.0.10:80 error or simialar.
Well what do you know I finally got frustrated and said "what the heck" and tried to browse anyway, and IT WORKED!
i.e. If you install Opera Mini on your K750i and it says you don't have a valid internet connection, then try anyway - it just might work.
Now, alles gut.

Anyway, opera in my p910 doesn't work properly either. Maybe they have a common bug.

it works like charm on my k700. no settings was necessary, only to enable opera to connect to the internet.
it wisely reshapes webpages, almost all pages are perfectly readable, though the letters are pretty small.
wait for a couple of seconds after entering the address, cause it does not show the page instantly.

The fact that Opera Mini doesn't detect my GPRS account is a bug, as far as I'm concerned.
I did not see any way from within Opera Mini to show a status of which protocol it was using, WAP or GPRS. Does anyonek now if this is possible to determine?
i.e. I know that in the past my old browser was using WAP to access internet, and I know that it now uses the GPRS. What I don't know is if Opera Mini is using the GPRS or the WAP.

I did some testing. I removed my Internet account from Data accounts list and started experiment with first with MyOperator WAP, selected on the Internet profiles list under Internet settings. It didn't give access. Selected MyOperator WAP GPRS. Well, to my big surprise it gave me Internet access too.
BUT: I had to select the same Internet profile under Settings for Java to make it work.
I had learned the importance of Settings for Java after I succesfully made Internet connection via Bluetooth, my PC and it's cable modem as the connection to the Internet. But that's another story...

I looked in there, and saw that it was linked to the Internet profile, which has WAP defined as the "internet mode".
Does that imply that it is using GPRS
OVER WAP? (As opposed to "instead of".) Thoughts?
I guess I should spend more time digging into the finer workings of GSM, WAP, and GPRS, so that I would better understand the protocols.
