> My T630 has frozen! Can anyone help?

Well just recently my T630 has been playing up. It would randomly turn off, and sometimes would take up to 30sec to turn on (when turning it on would get a hourglass pic on the screen for about 30sec before the phone actually did anything.)
Well I could live with that...
But about a week ago the phone turned off by itself, and now whenever I turn it on, none of the buttons work. The phone doesnt respond to anything. It will load up, then tell me I have new sms (I cant check my sms's cos none of the buttons work lol) and then it will go straight to the standby thing and display the time.
If i'm lucky it will sometimes respond to the joystick button and will ask me to press the buttons to turn the keylock off, which I obviously cant do cos it doesnt work.
Another weird thing I noticed is if I press the joystick while the phone is turning on, once loaded it will come up with a message that says "SMS Memory Full" and then take me to the "Write Message" screen as if I was writing an sms message, but none of the buttons will work. It will then stay frozen like this (i.e. will not go to the standby clock) until I remove the battery, thus turning it off.
None of this would be a problem, as I plan on getting a k750i soon, BUT i have all my contacts/phone numbers (alot) stored in the phones memory and not on the sim card. I NEED these contacts, therefore I NEED to get the phone working so I can copy them to the sim. Argghhh!
So is there anyone out there that can help me get my phone working so I can put my contacts onto the sim card?? Please

Im guessing im gonna have to take it in to get repaired, but im broke right now and dont have the time or money to do so really....help....?!

Yup, tried that, the battery has been out for a few days now, just put it in and same problem.

Well, i guess you have to bring it in to the service centre. If you don't wanna spend money servicing it, maybe just ask them to try to help you retrieve your contacts for you. I don't think there's a charge for that. If there is, be really nice and see if they can waive it for you. If they refuse, maybe it's time to be nasty. Haha... Just a suggestion of course.

I didnt know it was possible for them to just retrieve the contacts. Dont really want the phone anymore so just retrieving the contacts would be awesome, have gotten good use out of it for the few years i've had it, but its time for an upgrade (bring on the k750i!!!!)

Having a service center retrieving contacts from a broken phone without having it repaired first? I doubt that's possible!
It seems he is having a nasty firmware problem and fixing his phone is most likely going to leave him with nothing left of his own content (if he decides to fix it).

This might sound strange but put it in the refrigerator for half a day, this will reset the software. The same thing happened to a friend of mine. His T630 froze up and his put his phone in the freezer. This also works for stolen car radios by the way (this is where he got the idea from).
Sorry didn't fully read your post. All contacts will be lost but your phone will work again.

But if I reset the software, wont all my contacts be gone? (which is the main reason I need to fix the phone)...
Edit: Ah just saw you edited your post, yeah I really really need my contacts! Guess i'll be making a trip to a service centre tomorrow

I'm just suggesting that it's the best solution given the circumstances. They might just have the right equipment to retrieve the contacts. Of course, if they can't, i guess noone else can, isn't it?
