Of all of the options out there, what is the best of the best to listen to my IPOD on my car radio?

Well, you can get one of those cassette adapters if you want an alternative. I've heard the sound quality on my friend's car and it's pretty decent, no distortions. They're not that expensive either.

you want to buy a cable or connection kit that means you can plug you ipod into the cd changer input or if you are lucky enough to have one on your head unit the aux-in. This is the only way of getting any decent sound quality. have an itrip and i wouldn't really recomend it - gets too much interference.
If you are buying a new car stereo some are now able to control the ipod through the head unit - i.e change/scroll through songs using the headunit buttons rather than touching the ipod.
if you give me more details about the car you have and if you already have headunit or are buying a new one then i can give you more specific advice.

I have an Audi A4 with an Alpine CD player. I am not worried about the law. Whats up with that anyway?
Okay, I just read about compatibility with different ipods. I have the 60GB. By the way, do they make it in black?

I had an iTrip with my iPod mini when they came out, and it was useless. I live in London, so it is virtually impossible to find vacant fm band to use. The only time I got it to work was in my underground parking cellar and the Blackwall Tunnel. Btw, the iTrip (or any other fm transmitter) is legal if you obtain a licence to operate an fm transmitter.
