Boycott Telenor! Telenor is a Norwegian company, and Norway is one of those countries which published offensive cartoon images of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH). Lets show our love for our Prophet, and boycott products from countries which tried to despise and defame our Holy Prophet (PBUH).

I like everyone else on here are all for free speech, but this topic must be LOKED straight away! This is a mobile phone forum and not a blog for discussing the rights and wrongs of religious hatered or for political debate!
Where all aware of the anger caused by the cartoons last week, but to suggest that you boycot a company that had no connection with the paper in which they where printed, simply it's from the same country is wrecklessly immoral in everyway!
You might as well say boycot Britain because we freed a Muslim country of opression in which inosent lifes where lost!!!
Moderators, please lock this topic ASAP!

Your post seems to be just a crap.....
My post is "freedom of expression", as advocated by these countries who published cartoons. We want to punish these countries for what they did. Punishing their native companies will prompt them to limit their freedom of expression to the limit that it don't hurt the sentiments of others. Our boycott may be immoral, but then one shouldn't expect morality in reply to immorality. And after all, its freedom of speech, isn't it?? Haha

Biased!!! Your country didn't free it dear, it made it captive........and everyone knows for what.........OIL.
Many Iraqis are dying daily. If the same number of people are killed daily in your country, then you'll understand the brutality of Briatin and USA.
Anyways, read the newspapers.....British soldiers maltreating the Iraqi prisoners........or is "freedom of action".........Haha....you are really either too stupid or too unaware to have praised ur country with regards to Iraq.

Press Statement on Caricature issue
Islamabad, PAKISTAN
February 13, 2006:
Telenor Pakistan's Official Press Spokesperson gave the following statement on the caricature incident: "We are stunned to be a target of violence in the recent days. We thank God that there have been no casualties."
"Telenor is NOT involved with the caricature incident in any way and so we have kept quiet as it was not our place to speak on this very sensitive issue. However, we have considered it utterly deplorable.
For us as a company, the principle has always been to be respectful. Our 900 Pakistani permanent employees, our 1300 local contractual employees, our more than 2 million Pakistani customers, our partners in trade, in the civil society and in the government will vouch that we have always respected the local norms and values, that we have tried in earnest to build and attract investments to Pakistan and that we have been there for our fellow brothers in tough times.
The sad reality remains that how much we condemn this act it is not Telenor that can resolve this issue. As everyone knows, the ongoing discussion about the issue is taking place at the level of the states involved and is not in our power to influence. We also appeal to the authorities to help resolve this issue.
Telenor has a long term commitment in Pakistan. We have shown that by building the fastest growing network in the country. We have also shown it through our commitment to help victims of the earthquake when disaster struck our fellows. We are committed to our fellow Pakistanis and stand by them."
