actually, one of the new 5000 series models have GPRS/GSM built in (the middle one, the rightmost one is for CDMA1xrtt, the left being a WiFi + Bluetooth generic model).. You probably won't need a T68i if you buy the GSM/GPRS one

True enough - now how about the middle and left one combined... I'll be all over it!

Nice, but most of us are still used 2 da compact, on pun intended, size of our phones. And the thought of loosing this hurts! Ill augment my phone with a toshiba e740 with bt. Same cpu speed.

So we don't need our phone anymore to connect to the internet with our PDA anymore? I have the IPAQ 3970 with bluetooth, and using my phone as the modem which works great.

If you get the 5000 with GPRS/GSM you won't need the phone for GPRS anymore but you will have to get an additional mobile account because you'll have 2 different mobile devices with GSM access...
I'm thinking I'll get the Bluetooth/WiFi model and use it in conjunction with my phone like you do now. I'm starting to like that setup better than using my PDA as a phone. Plus when I'm at home or office I'll just use WiFi for Internet - fast and free.
