Just messing round on esato as I usually do, and found
this. There are quite a few members with a negative number of posts, just wondering how and why??

Probably just some database recovery or similar. I'm sure through the years this board has undergone numerous updates, and each time there's potential for inconsistencies and bugs between the board and associated software (php, mysql etc.)

I guess that when threads are archived posts are diminished so you get 0 if all your posts are archived... BUT...
Imagine you only post on regional forums, your post count will be 0 at the end of the day, and then, when those threads are archived the posts are subtracted again, so you get negative posts.
I think its a reasonable explanation, and i guess it's not far from reality.
