Mass Storage Synchronizer

Only unprotected tracks that can be played back by the device are supported.

If you are on Mac and OS X 10.4 you can also use Automator to create workflows that will copy selected files to dedicated places on your MS.

I've made these 3:

Install Smartmovie (copies selected files to Video/Smartmovie/)
Install Podcast (Copies to Audio/podcasts/)
Install iTunes songs (copies songs selected in iTunes to /Audio/unfiled/)
