Im sure alot of you are relaiseing I have many problems with all these threads etc. But this one has been going on for a while.

I seem to have developd a money problem, over the last day I have recieved over £2250 through the sale of my auctions on sunday night. Though granted not all of it is profit, today I have manage to buy: (please not everything listed was bought faulty or presumed faulty)

4 faulty d600s - 340
2 faulty mini ipods - 75
2 faulty ipods - £80
a faulty w800i - 75
a faulty t1 camera £25

and previously (last week)

15 hd5 players and 14 e07 players - 450
7 512 memory sticks and 2 1gb one - 45
numerous faulty ipod shuffles
faulty p910i - £82
numerous ipod shuffles - about 120

now doesnt take a genious to work out within a week ive sepnt over 1000

the main problem is I spend money far to fast and don't sell fast eough to generate a steady income. and as a result my bank sometimes suffers, it donestn go into negative figures often, but I feel that its likely to soon due to my increase in spending, I do have 4 accounts with money in which i can jggle arround to prevent this if it gets bad and keep cash reserves in case of emergencies.

I think the main problem is I only see money as figures not as a tangable goods, and I won't lie when I say I spent all this moeny to have some fun, and earn more money, (thats what I do buy cheap or fualty iems, and resell them after they are fixed etc).

Its not as if I spend money on myself such as clothes regually, but I think I use my money as a comfort when im pissed off as the thought of buying something appeals to my mind, then the fact that I have the abliity to make profit on it hlps this, but I think as im going to uni next year and running out of space I should try to cut down on this habbit.

I think I do the same as you sometimes to cheer myself up, getting parcels in the mail really cheers me up, but only for a short while. Usually get money back though, in fact generally turn a small profit, when I do get round to selling faulty phones I've fixed! Tend to keep them a while as I like them!

Also now have a house to run now, and money is now evaporating at an alarming rate of knots!

@luke - We are both on the same 'not-so-good-habit' mate ! The only problem with me is that I don't earn or PROFIT from the items I am selling from my end . . . counting the damage it had cost me, I have surpassed the US$ 1K mark (accumulated for 3 years and . . . running). It's really SAD everytime I think of that . . . but I can say that I am really enjoying every second of the moment if I grasp on a NEW model fone that's really new to me . . . the fastest transaction I ever had was: 2 days (bought it on a Sunday then sold it by Tuesday) . . . it was a T68i ! I hope I can recover . . . SOON !

@ max a good idea, but 2 flaws the first being most of the moeny I get is electronic I never handel its just figures on the internet. The 2nd problem, I like distruction il smash the bottle for fun when I get bored lol, though probally do it in a creeative way, like shove the neck full of bangers and see what happens, or how many time I can hit it with a golf club.

@ sam - looks like me and you are the same in this respect, I buy things fix em and sell them on, I also love post!! almost as good a toast!!

@ JN - are you just buying the latest model of phone and selling them on when you get bored?

@luke - I rarely BUY new ones mate . . . to date it's only the (K700i-2x, Nokia 7610, Motorola A780/V3-Black, XDA IIs and a K750i) . . . most were bought at a 2nd hand celfone shop. To date I have sold/traded about 150 models/units in a span of 3 years . . . I guess I only manage to earn in 5 units that I have sold. The thing that made me lose a lot is when I replaced the fone's covers (original) to make it - new, and I'm doing that practice - religiously! Though I must say that the JOY it brings me cannot be compared to anything that I've done in the past as a - HABIT.

@sammy - All along I thought that you were profiting from the trades that you were doing here at Esato . . . and everywhere else

It's a mixed bag for me, some phones I make a profit, some a break even, and a few (luckily it's a minority!) I lose money on. Generally I'm up though, I do it more as a hobby so don't know how much I'm making!

I do... which is why it's a hobby!

But I think I'm threadjacking a bit here, I bet Luke's the same though. I like that feeling when you bring a damaged or presumed dead phone back to life, and also an excuse to get another phone to play with! They do eventually get sold, after I've have a fiddle with it!
