After the relese of the k300i, j300, j100 i think sony ericsson should only make top end phones as they are normally better and have the best features. I think the lower end ones are just lame and look crap.

I think just with the case of other mobile fone companies . . . these are part and parcel of their marketing plan or . . . strategies. They should also put some low-end fones in their assembly line, we must not forget that NOT all people can buy HI-END model fones due to financial constraints. Say (1) P990 sold is already about (5) K300i's taken. Even Nokia despite it's no. 1 stand in the market at present still produces not-so-expensive models . . .

Aren't people that want a simple phone not entitled to buy something with attractive looks and decent design?

And beside that, you won't believe it maybe, but most "simple" models turn out to be way too complicated for a lot of people. So it is good that designers that know how a UI should look have taken care of that.

I hope SE sells massive loads of them. The streets will look better.

I still find 'low-end' fones easy to use than with the expensive ones - PDAs etc.

to make high end phones, it some times better to also update the low end ones.
let SE devolop them, their will be benifites for high-end phones aswell

During the timeof Ericsson, we can say that they are already making low-end fones: T10s/T20s . . . compared to their R-series, which I can say are the hi-ends, specially when they made the Satellite Phone (R-series) which really cost a fortune during it's initial release . . .

low end phones are needed. young people age 12-14 mostly get a entrylevel phone. if its an SE one and they like it they will stay loyal to SE. its another brand they will stay loyal to that brand.

remember that youngsters are blinded by media and commercials.
