> HELP: What can I use to back up P910 files

Hi guys,
I've come to ask you a favor. It seems that my girlfriends p910 is screwed or something. Everything is running really slow. Even turning on BT takes a few minutes. And worst thing is, she cannot even open her sms inbox.
So my question is:
What are my options for backing-up my girl's phone memory? Something that can back-up the inbox and even the jotter files. I tried to hook up the phone to my PC via BT, but the BT software that the remote device (phone) is not responding.
Even if someone nows how to find the hard disk inside the phone and back that up, I would greatly appreciate it.

sounds like you need to format it. as for backing up the files before you format it you have to syncronise the phone with microsoft outlook to save contacts, jotter, organizer files, e.c.t after that you can update it sms and the rest will be lost go here to see what you will need.
http://www.sonyericsson.com/s[....]3_1&zone=ps&lm=ps1_1&pid=10183 the first thing you will need is the pc suite 3.11

I think that you should first install PC suite, U can find it on sony ericsson web site then make backup by selecting backup & restore.
Probably all U need is to power it off and on again because these is not a PC and U need to clear temporary memory.

Thanks for the suggestions, we already tried to power on and off several times. But it still works slooowly.
We will try the PC suite though. thanks.
@ Others: While we try this one, please feel free to post your suggestions so that we can try something else just in case this doesn't work.

Guys, it just says "connecting..." and that's it.
It seems that the PC can detect the docking station but the docking station cannot detect the phone itself.
Any other plans guys?

You can save contacts, tasks, appointment and Jotter notes remotely, for free, using the sync service at
http://www.mobical.net. You just use the Remote Sync app already on the phone to copy this info to Mobical's servers via GPRS.
But please note that this is *all* that will be copied. The contents of the SMS inbox, for example, won't be.
Another angle would be to identify which files on the phone's memory you want to keep (using the Sman app for instance), and simply copy them over to a memory stick. But correctly identifying what's what might be a challenge from what I've read.

I'm just resolving a similar problem today. Every once in a while my p910i gets severe brain damage the symptoms are always the same:
* It runs incredibly slow (it has troubles swapping the keylock images gracefully, that is slow)
* It is constantly bugging me about being out of storage space. There's 6 Mb free on C, and ~ 60% RAM free (reported by sman)
* I see no unusual stuff open in sman task list, even after selecting show hidden tasks.
* The batteries run out really fast and are hot most of the time
Something is eating up my p910i! And i suspect the messaging app, but how can i know?
PC Suite discovers there is a phone present (dancing phone monitor arrow), but my phone is never detected, so no possibilites for sync or even restore.
I can still take and make calls, but anything else may trigger the need to do a reboot. Any ideas?
