On a lot of k700's the joystick loses a bit of contact after some time. It keeps working though, you just might have to press hard & longer, which is sometimes a pain because you can end up elsewhere than you aimed.

Not much to be done about, keep it clean, try not to overuse it - a lot of the functions can be accessed by typing on the keypad.

Older Ericssons and the first SE's let you scroll also with the volume keys so there were always at least two ways of getting somewhere in the menu - it's a pity that principle is gone, you can't do without the joystick for a lot of functions.

But! The most remarkable part of the joystick problem is that Esato-types of users of the k700 like the phone so much they do not *really* complain (style throwing out window, never a SE again, etc). The other users are normal people that are not intense users of a phone and never get to the point where the joystick does not work that well.

I suspect this is not helping you very much (unless you can read between the lines and conclude that it is not really a reason to not buy the k700 unless you're a gamer). In the archive you'll find a lot of more useful answers so I took the freedom to get philosophical about it.

This is what I did (:se: Service Center) when I was experiencing some 'lag' with the joystick back then . . . it's usually - cleaning!
