Hi,

I have bought a new hand set and I tried to transfer some mp3 files. It was transfered successfully. And then I tried again immediatly the mobile was shutdown. I removed the USB cable safely. When I tried to restart it freezes with the Sony Ericsson Logo after that nothing is happening. Please suggest me what can be done to solve this.

Thanks in advance.

I had a similar problem while trying to update using the SE Update Service software. Forget the logo, I couldn't get phone to start at all. All I did was to remove the battery and the sim, then try to start it with just the battery. It came up fine giving the option to start in walkman mode. I shut it off again, inserted the sim and then start it, which it did. I am not saying that the problem was with the sim, but I guess it not being there gave the phone software to execute a different function. My update was failing everytime and my phone was refusing to start after each of that failed update. The above solution worked everytime.

I wouldn't mess with the brand new hand set that has warranty. Use your warranty!!!

Look at me. Dude, I had the same problem as you today. I was transferring files over USB and suddenly the USB device went away and came back. When it came back the memory stick was completely empty and trying to open the drive prompts saying insert a device. When I restarted the phone it got stuck at the Sony Ericsson logo but removing the memory stick got it up and running. Really frustating to lose all the date on my stick like that. I had a partial backup, atleast of the important stuff so am gonna talk to the vendor about this, but considering the problems I have had, didn't really expect this from Sony!!!

I also had the same problem as bombadil. I lost my all data but I thought it was because of using 1GB MS but again I experienced the same thing with my 512 MB MS.Now I transfer files using bluetooth only.
