Posting this for information as I noticed quite a few posts regarding problems cable linking at T39M to a computer running Windows XP
After going through every step I could find and having no joy I e-mailed Ericsson UK and asked the if there was a problem, they confirmed the following
"Regarding your enquiries, at this time, the T39m handsets are not currently compatible with Windows XP. This is because all of our handsets had gone through the final phase of testing, or had already been launched, before Windows XP. However, we do expect a patch to be released later this year that will enable our handsets to work with this program. Please contact our Data Support Department on Option 4 of the number below for further information on this."
