hello all,
I bought a wireless mic and the damn receiver needs to be plugged in dammit.
Does anyone know of any external battery source or something?
Like a dynamo where you crank it and it'll store up some energy to power something, or a device that you charge and then later use as a power source.
It's a regular DC Power hole that needs to plugged into.

I was thinking of a portable power generator here, though a bit expensive than the 'mic' that you bought mate . . .

@luke, because I'm be walking out and about, i would want an external power-source if i didn't need it.
I've checked generators and I'll be in london, it'll be heavy and I doubt they'll allow it on the subway.
I need something more portable.

it's a wireless mic for a show.
The transmitter itself is attached to a mic and you wear it.
It send a signal to a receiver which is plugged into the Video Camera.
THe receiver needs to be plugged into the wall, however it isn't that usefull when you're on the move and especially outside. So I need an external source of power that I can give the camera man to wear or carry to power the receiver.
I've seen dynamo receivers for like radio's and nokia chargers but none with a DC connector.
So I'm hoping somebody knows of a product or has a suggestion.

I think it's a mic used in singing on stage or Karaokes . . . .

hmmm got one suggestion, grab a load of 9v batteries connect them all togehter and put a resistor between them and a power lead glong to your mic reciever, that would be pretty good, or you can use something like a phone battery, but connect a few together, say 5-10, and so the smae principle, theis will mean you can charge it and it will be small

in general, I could create somethiing but I am wanting to purchase something ready made.
The mic itself is a clip on mic not a karaoke mic. Like a mic for meetings or shows.
