hi .... i own the w900i

the phone only runs videos with the ".3pg" format, is there a way to , make it run clips of other formats like ".wma"

Yeah, that's right. It won't play WMA but it'll do MP3s or audio encoded as a MP4 or 3GP friendly format (which basically means AAC which is superior to MP3 and similar to WMA).

Video can be encoded in pretty much any portable-friendly MPEG4 codec (Divx, Xvid, H.263) as long as enhanced features aren't used (GMC, QPEL etc.) it'll work.
