Hi,
I have bought a new mobile W800i when See the phone status it says the model is K750i. But the menus are W800i model. Is this a problem with the firmware or How to unistall the K750i firmware or update that to W800i so that it wont give any troubles in future.
Thanks in advance.

I'm afraid your W800 is a K750 dressed up in W800 housing. The firmware is modified somehow by an expert-flashed by W800 firmware..well,is that under official warranty? Just tried SEUS-you might update yours into R1AA008 and let's see whether it's the original W800 or not. Cheers.

If it was a K750i with W800i software flashed onto it, it should say it is a W800i not K750i as it is the software that says what it is.
It is weird that it would say K750i on a W800i when the phone has W800i software.
I would say that if it works ok then dont worry.

Hi,
Now I got a new problem. I tried connecting to PC and transfered some mp3 songs to mobile(Disk Drive mode). when I tried to remove the device i clicked to Safely remove the USB device icon in the task bar. It gave me message 'Generic device 'The device generic volume cannot be stopped right now. Try stopping the device again later'
I waited for some time then I removed that USB cable from the moblie the memory card is not working any more I serached in the fourms when ever we try to disconnect any USB mass storage device if any thing goes wrong only the data will be lost. But in my mobile the memory card itself is not working any more. I went to the service menu from the mobile and I tried accessing i am getting error message that Memmory card is not INSERTED.
I tried the same memory card using the card reader it is giving the same error message.
Please help to resolve this. Is it the problem with the firmware that is installed wrongly in the mobile ?
Thanks in advance

Wow, you really seem to be in a soup!!
How does the camera at the back of your so called W800 look? Compare it with the pictures in the following location:
http://www.esato.com/reviews/sonyericsson_w800_k750/
Don't know if a change in the casing can make the 750's camera look like 800's.
As far as memory card is concerned, are you sure you have inserted it all the way in, because I have myself struggled to do that a few times. Also, you might wanna try formatting it with a card reader. Had your phone been detecting it, we could have done it from the phone menu itself. Try shutting down the phone, removing the sim, reinsterting it and then booting up again. Quite stupid I know, but it works quite often

. You could also try cleaning the contacts for your memory pro duo

I've just managed to get a free upgrade from T-Mobile, I got a SE D750i. I've since unlocked it and reflashed it to remove the T-Mobile firmware.
But after looking at the pictures, it looks exactly like a W800i. Looks like T-Mobile are reflashing some phones as a D750i.
Still not sure whether to reflash to W800i firmware, not sure I need the other facilities or not.
(Using it as a work mobile, still using my I-mate Jasjar as my main phone.)

they arent reflashing them as d750i's thats how they r meant to look. they r exclusive to tmobile an have standard t-mobile K750i fw on them
