I've never had a problem with SEUS before, but just tried the latest version and it just won't work.
I unistalled the previous version first (1.9) and then installed 2.2.13.7b from the Sony Ericsson website.
I plug the DSS-25 in and Windows picks it up just fine and I can see it OK in Device Manager, working properly.
I run SEUS and it seems to run fine too. But then when I plug the phone in (when it asks me to) it detects the phone - I can see the light on the DSS-25 light up - and then SEUS says "Detection failed. Remove your phone and press restart".
I have tried uninstalling and reinstall SEUS. Unistalling and reinstalling the DSS-25 drivers, rebooting and generally fiddling about. But I always get this error.
Any idea what the problem is - and how to fix it?
Thanks
Chippy
EDIT: Just wanted to mention - tried it on 2 different PC's now. One Intel based laptop, the other and AMD 64 desktop. Both *exactly* the same results. Falls over like this:

Same problem with the .7 version, I've just downloaded the .7b and will test it to see if it works. This issue was driving me absolutely nuts! I have installed the newest version on 3 different computers and it does the same thing on all of them > NOTHING!

the version .7b at least starts up, however I only get to step 6. Release the C button. I naturally do so and then nothing.... This is such a PITA!

WOW! This is such crap! I have been playing around with this for 4 hours now! In my lateste attempt I installed both .7 and .7b in two separate folders. I tried to run .7b with the ma3platform.exe from the .7 version and I got nothing (app would not start), so then I started .7 (the version from SE's site) with the ma3platform.exe from the .7b and it worked!!!

I also am having problems
I downloaded the .7b version, installed it (DSS 25 already installed) and ran it only to have the detection failed message. Uninstalled it and downloaded the .11b version (which updated itself during the install process). It got as far as telling me that it had downloaded the update software and then it just said update failed......detected my K700i no problem.....
dont know what to do know.
What is the latest version (english)?

I got an email back from Sonyericcson after a few days waiting for a response.
No apologies, no "sorry to hear you are having probems", nothing. All they said was:
"With regards to your enquiry, the Update Service is currently being upgraded on our website. Please try again when the Update Service has been reactivated on the website."
So it looks to me like they know the software is TOTAL AND UTTER CRAP.

Just updated mine an hour ago. No problem. I used copy-paste of the ma3platform.exe of 7b version to 7 version. It worked. Anyway,SE is awful..even the upgrade itself-which should have removed bugs-is buggy..so bugs over bugs..funny.

After struggling with the Update Service 2.2.13.7b, I was able to have it run and recognize my k750i. However, right in the middle of updating, it gave an error message to restart the whole application.
Now, when I perform the update, I get the message, "There are no new updates". To make matters worse, my cell would not turn on and I have been looking for a 'Recovery Mode' all over SE's official website.
I don't even retain the Warranty that came with my phone - misplaced it somewhere.
Is there a way out of this? Thanks for any replies.
