Is this normal? I was trying to copy some in my memory stick card, but after having it uploaded I was not able to have it played, what gives here? Thanks!

GIFs are images, not music.
What do you mean by it wouldn't play? You couldn't view it?
Did you upload it to the right directory?

@muppet - Yup, images in GIF format are moving ones pal. I was able to see/view this in my: T630/K700/K750i and why not in my P800

Yeah, I guess I've placed it in the right folder (memory stick) - Pictures, and not in Video/Audio folders.
Here's a sample of an image in GIF Format:

Could you view it at all?
It sounds like it doesn't support animated gifs...
There's so many 3rd party image viewers out there, have you tried blueeyes?
It's a freeware image viewer, you can view images in any dir and it supports animated gifs.
Here's the link.

@mauppet - Ohhhh, OK. You mean I would still have to upload some applications to have my GIFs viewed? How come it comes being played/viewed 'automatically' with other

models, like that of the T630 which was released 'almost' the same time with the P800? I manage to see a 'cracked' picture on the thumbnail files of my GIFs under the Picture Folder of the memory stick. Upon seeing that cracked portrait/frame/picture, I know there was something wrong . . . I'll try your link pal, thanks !

P-series are Symbian based phones, it's highly possible the built in app has limitations the other phones do not.
It's been my experience that almost all the built-in apps have commerical (or sometimes freeware) apps that are way better, the default built-in ones usually only offer the most basic of functionality.
Have you noticed how your P800 doesn't support profiles? How *lame* is that? You need to buy a 3rd party app to get that functionality.

@muppet - OK. It's just that I am USED in viewing GIF formats with my former

model fones dude. So, when I put those on my memory stick, I thought I can automatically view them
