They are doing allright for this quarter Tranquil, but they did tell their share holders yesterday that their new orders have fallen quite drastically. The statistics on Expansys is very much delayed. Yesterday the shares of Ericsson fell by 16%. They continue to fall today as well because they announced that they are shutting down their R&D center in Australia and shedding 450 jobs. They are just scraping into profit for this year but many believe it will be quite a big loss next year.
But on the other front there is not all good news on Nokia either. Markets think that if 3G network roll out picks up, Ericsson should take a huge chunk of Nokia's market share. Lets hope things look brighter for

when 3G era comes in.

Bear in mind, we stock brokers don't look at just the shares but also look at the drop in the futures and options related to the stock.
The US Nasdaq quotes only the ADR's not the shares.
The performance of Ericsson over last three months desires much to be said as can be seen from the graph below..
cheers.

i think

will wait whit there 3G phones till the 2nd generation of 3G phones comes along. not those half 3G products like the nokia 6650.
i think nokia is paying extra money to some stores and operators to sell there phones more then those of
notice around that nokia and samsung phones are availeble everywere and that ericsson and

phones are limited.

guys, did you all realised you were referring to the wrong company?
Ericsson is a manufactuer of network equipment while Sony Ericsson is the maker of mobile phone. Do bear in mind tht whatever mentioned in Ericsson homepage about their outlook didn't reflect what is happening to SE.
You can see tht Ericsson and SE is seperating now as Ericsson never mention anything when HBH-60, T100 and HPR-20 were announced.
wont comment on how bad SE is but I don't see they are performing tht well.

I can certainly sense sarcasm:
1. Note the graph is of Ericsson - telephone division.
2. Sony - Ericsson is not a company but a brand owned by both Sony and Ericsson. Revenues are shared between Sony & Ericsson on a 50:50 basis.
3. You cannot get share price of just Sony Ericsson on the stock markets.
