Is it really that bad in Europe? I am yet to come across mobile spam messages here in India. The only spam i receive are from the operator itself..but i can choose whether to receive them or not.

Actually I recieve very little 'mobile spam', it's usually the odd MMS, wap push, or text message from my operator, not really much else. For me, email spam is a much worse problem!

At least though the mobile operators are doing something together - perhaps it is a problem for some people - I'm guessing they sign up for dodgy text alerts and have their details sold to other less reputable people?
