Okay this is a strange one.
I had a playlist to some music and then deleted the music, I accidently clicked on the playlist and track to play a song and it obviously said "file not found".
So I deleted the playlist. Later on I put the same album and songs back on my MStick and then created a playlist again. I marked the directory where the music is and then clicked Add. It added the songs, but didn't list them with the filenames, instead it has listed them with the Artisit, so for example all the playlist says is "The Zutons" for each track.
If I click on a track and choose more>information then it has the correct filename, but this won't show on the playlist. It is most annoying as I can't tell what song is what.
I have tried calling the directories by different names and changing the filename. I've even edited the Artist tag in the summary but it just imports the tracks and displays them with the new artisit name rather than the filename. I guess the phone has got it's knickers in a twist, but this is only happening for this one album...............very weird?
Just thought someone might have experienced this before?
Dan.

are you using I-Tunes to convert yor music? if yes, you need to switch off an option in I-Tunes before converting the files....
also, when in phone's media player, i assume you know you can sort music by "artist", "Title" and "as created"... right?.

Nope not using i-tunes. Just copying the MP3 files across manually.
Yeah I know about sorting by artist etc.
But the problem is that the actual names of the tracks in the playlist are the artist, not the file/track name.
Somehow the phone is displaying the artist name rather than the filename/track!
The tracks play fine, it's just I can't see the track names!!!!
