> Quick question about norton ghost

I have to format my hard drive and fresh install windows after it get to state where its unusable!!!!! But because my recovery disk is just a windows xp disk so it takes ages to install. Now say i format my pc, install the microsoft updates, and drivers and make a image with norton ghost. Can i put it on DVD or CD, and how do i go about putting it back on? do u need to run it through windows or will it bootup automatically on startup? Also how long does it take to put the image back on the hard drive?
