Right, this week i-mate are releasing the AKU2 update for their windows mobile 5 devices so I'll be updating my k-jam asap.

As the update includes A2DP support, and also because more devices are supporting this profile, I am now wanting to buy a headset to use with this profile.

about 15 months ago HP released a stereo bluetooth headset which I bought and tried with my then iPAQ 5400. I'm fairly sure it wasn't using the A2DP but instead some proprietry profile that HP created as I never saw drivers for anything but the iPAQs.

these were the ones

they were ok but not the most comfortable headset I ever used

so, if any one has comments or better still, experience, about A2DP headsets that I should consider please relpy here

thanks!

The HBH-DS970 looks great, cannot wait to get my hands on it, but i dont see a 3.5mm adaptor on it.

Thats my suggestion, give it a 3.5mm adaptor if it does not have one.

yeah I fully expect to get the DS970 when its available but who knows when that will be given lead times after announcement and I'm off to Oz at the end of March and not sure if it will be available by then

so for that reason, and also "just because", I really want to get something now though

The Moto HT820 headset is supposedly very good:

Not tested it myself, but from what ive read online they're currently one of the favourites for use with the A2DP profile.

Well, MobileFun stock 15 variations..

Logitech have always been a sound company, but recently products of theirs ive started to notice are becoming increasingly unreliable.

I'd go with the HBH-DS970 if you can wait. If not, the Nokia equivelant, http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/product/9661.htm are another option if your looking for 'in-ear' headphones. Otherwise, these: http://www.wi-gear.com/products/imuffs/specs.php look good, especially as they are BT 2.0.

well, this has all become a bit academic since i-mate have, without announcement, left out A2DP support from the upgrade

oh well... lets hope they include it soon!
