Hi
My Sony P910i is driving me crazy.
Forgot to recharge the battery so battery died and phone turned off. When I turned it on screen stayed blank but I could see that the phone itself was on but I couldn't see anything as the screen was black. Also there were 3-4 horizontal lines from top to bottom.
Please note that I didn't drop the phone.
So phone is working. Tried to call myself (worked) but screen is black with those 3-4 lines.
I don't know what to do. I tried to do restore and backup of files through the computer but nothing happend.
Please help.

Last time i saw a cracked screen with a few white lines is when i cracked my internal screen. You gotta have it repaired.

As far as I understand it, the screen is not cracked. The lines could be from leftover static after a lockup. Power the phone down, remove the batt for two min. while doing so, check batt contacts and connector contacts on bottom of phone. Then insert battery and charge 12hr. During that time stay away from te phone. This should do it.

I had this similar experience with my Motorola A768i/V3 back then, when the battery was left drained for hours (overnight) . . . the next day, I tried to charge it, and left with no response for about an hour . . . and I was worried a bit, after a few tries it starts chargin' . . . but the LCD/screen was left unharmed. Better bring your P910i to an authorized Service Center mate. Good Luck!

Hi
I tried everything and it didn't work
The problem is that due to my work I travel a lot.
I bought this Phone in Australia last July (new phone)
I guess that it has one year garantion.
I'll be on a business trip in Croatia till August 2006 which means that I won't be able to repair the phone under the garantion.
I don;t belive what a crap is Sony. You buy phone for 1000 dollars and it dies after hardly 5 months of use.
And I'm not the only one. Lot of people have problems with Sony

@roberto - Wouldn't it be good if you TRY sending your damage fone to an authorized service center than just leaving it as it is

We do encounter problems with other mobile handset brands too, not only

as they say, there's NO perfect forn out there . . . maybe it will cost you a bit, and/but it will bring back LIFE to your gadget. Good luck! Btw, WELCOME to Esato mate

Hello
I'm in Rijeka. I called Sony office in Zagreb and they said that they don't accept Australian warranty.
Jesus it's bloody same company.
Anyway thanks for your help and I guess I'll have to send the phone to Australia.

If you an bought an unlocked, unbranded fon, then the warrenty should be accepted worldwide. I think the guy in zagreb did not give you good info.
