> W550 front speaker stopped working

It suddenly did it
i never dropped the unit, and the only thing I remember doing with it is associating the headset accessory with the "handsfree" profile (which disables the front speaker) and that's it. It's never worked since. I've done a complete master reset + reflashed with davinci (from EU2 to EU1) in the hopes that it may be a software issue, but it still persists.
Hence my dislike for phones with moving parts. Anyone reckons the swivel mechanism gave or something?

found the culprit. there's an area in to the right of the speaker that i can apply some light pressure on then i can hear the other party. must be a cold joint/solder that came off or something. i'll take it down to a service point for checking
ive been careful with the phone and this is exactly what ive been afraid of with phones with moving parts. im not just wondering now if anyone else had this problem . . .
