I recently emailed SE regarding the "Incorrect parameter" error I'm getting from Windows*** when transfering files from phone's MSPD to PC thru USB, and the hiss noise in Walkman player (two problems I had since upgrading to R1AA008), and the reply I got was an advice to take my phone to a service centre. I asked them to confirm if these 2 problems are firmware related, but the next reply insist that I hae my phone checked in order to properly determine the problem.
Now, is there anyone here who has R1AA008 on their W800 and never experienced the file transfer bug and Walkman player hiss noise? If there are R1AA008 handsets which don't have these problems, then these might not really be FW issues after all . . .

***Sometimes, the mass storage drive also gets disconnected in the sense that it shows as an empty drive in My Computer/Windows Explorer and stops displaying the real contents of the MSPD. I believe this results to the "parameter is incorrect" error if the disconnection happens during file transfer.

sorry to say but i think the W800 got some issues there.. my K750 had this param errors before.. but im just wondering where it has gone now... i have never experienced the param issues again...

I have the param incorrect issue, but for hissing, I've just experienced it sometimes when the volume is set to low.
the Parm incorrect issue is the most annoying~
by the way, someone posted about a beta firmware. I'm not sure if that fixes any of these issues we are experiencing. Fingers crossed!

I totally agree, but I don't have the cables neccessary to do that. I only have the original cable and it can only flash firmware from R1N and above. I'll wait for the next firmware offically from SE........

R1L doesn't suffer from the hiss noise. It's the last stable firmware without any serious bugs.

I get thise problem as well as Delayed Write failure on my K750 using my 512 sony card. Annoying as hell as i can only get around 40 songs on the card.
