No matter what I do, I can't get SetupCOM to recognize and set up my phone. I even tried the suggested Prolific driver. Every time I connect my phone, I get those stupid Windows warnings about it wanting to install MODEM drivers for the phone.. the other drivers actually work fine as I'm able to do everything with FMA and MyPhoneExplorer. Well, everything short of uploading files. I tried uploading themes and simply can't make it work. I always get errors, both in FMA and MPE. Also.. the SE site says that the modem drivers are part of the USB drivers when a USB cable is used.

It seems I can plug in my phone after having cleaned the system of all related drivers, and it will still work. I wonder why? Because if that's the case, what's the point of SE providing drivers in the first place.. and what's the point of Hitz suggesting the Prolific drivers?
