Hi, I just boght myself a 2nd laptop off ebay. It came with one of those 3 year garantees, but arrived this mornign and the cd drive does not work. Im not blaming the seller i dbout they knew about it as they really seem on the level, but now im wondering what to do, I have emailed them, but before this told me they were transfering the extended warrenty into my name, but it takes like a week for dixions to do this...

yeh, thing is it has 2 days left on the store normal warrenty, and they say if a repair is not possible they will give a replacement or vouchers or something, that would be better then just having it fixed lol

ah, if its only 2 days then they will take it for repairs, and if they cannot fix it with in 4 weeks they will send you vouchers to the value of the laptop, i remember having the problem with my old playstation.

@ jagger, I would send it to sony, but im not the original owner and I knwo their warrenty is non transferable. But I do have a cover plan on it transfering into my name, I have a day to decide as the manufacturers warrenty ends on the 4th this month
