Does anyone know if there is a way to get the top and bottom red bits of on the wallpaper screen. They annoy me cheeeeeers!

It might help if you told us which phone you are talking about, and which theme in particular.
If you mean the Status Bar at the top of the standby screen, and the Softkey area at the bottom of the standby screen, then you may be able to edit the theme to change the graphics there.
Try sending the theme from your phone to your computer, then using the free
Sony Ericsson Themes Creator to edit it.
