Hi all. First xcuz my english, coming from france . I really hope you will be able to help me..
Here is da problem :
I have a K750i on Orange. I discovered I had the bugged version (rn035 or sthing like that). Then i did an update, and i've now the last version (r1aa08 or sthing like that).
The problem is that I always have either all my mp3 deleted, or my memory card became unreachable. My memory card is a sony 512mb.
I've tried all you said : I did a master reset. I took the option "optimize for performance". I put the mp3 directly on the root. I always used a safe disconnection of USB. I tried some programs, like "my phone explorer".
But.. nothing helped me. There is always a bug during the transfer, and i have to remove and reset my memorycard on the phone to have again access to it -> sometimes my mp3 are here, sometimes they vanishes.
Thanks for your help.. i could develop some details if ya want.
Leif

if you can afford it, use davinci team to flash version R1L002 firmware. This is stable and has no cable or transfer bugs.

Hmm I'm french so not sure that is 'delayed write' but yeah, my computer tells me it's impossible to copy which or which file because it is not attainable. EDIT -->
Max, thanks for your advice, the problem is that my phone is Orange branded ; and any flash or action which is not done on SE website or by a SE approved center will remove the warranty.

Today, I went to an informatic technician, he tested my 2 memory sticks : the original one (64mb, which with i get the less problems) and the buyed one (512mb, which makes transfers crashing) --> they are both in a perfect condition. --> The phone may have the problem.

I phoned SE : they told me i have to test the transfer from another computer ; and if that doesn't work, the only solution is to send the phone to a sonyericsson center (the phone is warranty one year, or two if you bought it recently).

I'm going to persist trying to find a solution..
Then i will either buy a card reader for my computer or send the phone back to sonyericsson.

I'm always opened to any idea which could help us !

I reckon you should take it back to the service centre and demand a new handset if they can't fix it.

Just out of curiosity, have you tried a master reset? Often obscure problems like this come down to firmware corruption - a master reset will fix that unless the rom image is damaged - in which case the service centre can update the rom (the firmware image).

Your problem does sound a little different to the usual "incorrect parameter" transfer issue of R1A, although it does have some similarities to the transfer bug of the R1N firmware.

All in all you should keep going back to the service centre each time they try something to fix it and fail. If they can't fix it after the second go, DEMAND a new handset. Don't pussyfoot around, since you are entitled to a working phone and if they can't fix it they have to replace it. That's under their own factory warranty, anywhere in the world.

Good luck

I believe the error in the screenshot he/she posted though is the same as the "parameter is incorrect" bug we're having with R1AA008.

Thanks for your answer Max It's so nice to see some people are ready to help you ^^
Well, yeah i tried a master reset, and a new firmware update after that. But it changed anything.. (and yeah pdub the big master reset (not the little one, for parameters) make you lost all your data).

But, even if the problem is the same as the "parameter is incorrect" bug, there aren't solution isn't it ? (I already tried different USB ports etc)

So i'm going to give it back to the service center this afternoon, i think.
I'll give you some news

Thanks again a lot all for your help.
