Has anyone noticed the way new Samsung phone models are dubbed after some models? like the new samsung P900, P910, Z600, Z530, etc.
There are 26 alphabets, Samsung should pick some other letters... Copycats

Well that's your interpretation.
Samsung naming is: two/three letters - letter + 3 numbers + possibly one letter.

E.g. SGH-e635, SGH-x497, SPH-A600, VM-A680, SGH-D800, SGH-D500E and so on.

How is that close to ??

Samsung did its numbering scheme before

Oh, and that's like me saying copied Samsung numbers!!! Bad bad bad
has the W600 and Samsung has the SPH-A600. See it's 600 in both!! Ridiculous, isnt it?

The "real" numbering of Samsung is its latest four digits. SGH and SCH only to show the type of the handset whether it is GSM (SGH: Samsung GSM Handset) or CDMA (SCH: Samsung CDMA Handset).
So when comparing the numbering of manufacturers it is fair enough if only latest four disgits of Samsung is considered.

SGH actually stand for Samsung GSM Handset, and so do not really count as designating factors for samsung handsets.
As for who copied who, remember the R380 & R520? these came before the samsung R220.

@Miss uk: I personally have used several samsung models and have not been impressed by them. IMO I believe samsung is only just coming of age. The D750 is the same as the K750 I presume; You must be kidding. D600 over the K750? I must be missing something.
