Hey guys is it possible to switch on the camera manual in some way? cuz i changed the housing of the fone but snapped the slider pin on the back of the fone which switches the camera on....now i just wana use the cam even without the slider enabled...........and if i open the back slider....and turn the camera on manually....it says open cam lens........even though it is open...any way to by pass the slider option and turn the cam on manually?

You snapped the important bit by the sounds of it, i think you should take it to a mobile phone repair shop. Is the phone under warranty?

Not if he has changed the cover and broken it himself. There is no way to do it without physically moving the switch.

Could the phone be taken apart again, the switch somehow moved into the 'open' position, then when the phone's back together, it thinks the cover is open all the time, and then the camera can be started manually?

I'll have to see if I can do that on my W800 - open the lens cover, exit the camera application, then see if I can later get into the camera manually.
