My Dad will be replacing his 2-month old 6.0 Konika-Minolta Digicam . . . he is contemplating either to GET one of these: Canon EOS 350D or the Olympus E500. His problem at present is that: The Canon sure does capture 'sharper' images compared with the Olympus, however, the Olympus is giving 'nicer' FREEBIES with the package, like an extra LENS (which is worth US$ 350.00 alone etc.) . . . both 8MP Digicams. I hope that members who HAVE these models can be of help. Thanks!

i have a Canon 350D,and it really is a fantastic camera. Produces brilliant images, easy to use(with settings to suite both amature photographers and pro's),and a very managble size.and i find the battery last aaaagggess which is a definite plus point. And when i bought mine, i got a a free 256mb card. and a booklet full of money off vouchers totalling £625.
i havent used the other camera so i cant comment on it, but i highly reccomend the Canon.
