do all stereos have the plug so that the cable can be plugged into it or are some unable to support the MMC-60. i was tginking of getting one to use with my w800 but when i looked at my stereo there wernt any obvious plug for the cable to be plugged in, only the headphone socket and where the speakers were plugged in at the back. any help??

a large percentage of modern hifi's usually have standard phono input s but despair not if yours doesN't have them because for a couple of pounds you can get an adaptor that converts two phono into a headset plug

hey, I'm sorry. I had a brain freeze while getting off the train and writing that last reply.

the adaptor I mentioned is fine but its a headset socket that you say you have which means sound comes out from the stereo whereas what you actually want is sound going into the stereo

so... I think you might be out of luck I'm afraid, sorry about that

yes, many stereos only have headphone out, no input. About 15 years ago, all stereo systems, even the cheap ones, came with both input and output sockets. Now you have to specifically look for (and usually pay a lot more) for a stereo with line in.

The answer is to get an fm transmitter (you only need an fm radio then).
