We have released a new application for UIQ, called MulTimer. It is a highly configurable chronometer that goes beyond the usual timers and stopwatches. You can define your own timer types, each containing a series of events that are signaled consecutively.

Download a free trial of MulTimer from CellPhoneSoft or My-Symbian. Comments and suggestions are welcome here on the forum or support@cellphonesoft.com . Enjoy!

Looks useful. Will give it a go.

Dodgy link on the website though: "Multimer" link is ok and goes to Multimer page, but the "More Info..." link at the bottom of the Multimer description goes to the bigben page.

Cheers

Edit: have tried it out and it looks good. Could come in very handy.

Here's my first development suggestion: In stopwatch mode, should be able to adjust lap times between total time elapsed (as it is now) and time for each lap, both modes could be useful for different situations. Maybe in preferences, or just an option in edit menu when in stopwatch mode.

Also, how about being able to tap on the time display to make it REALLY big (say, filling the whole screen in portrait/landscape)? So you can pop phone on it's dock on the shelf and see how long 'til the lasagne is ready, from the sofa!

No, those are minutes (based on extensive statistics ) but you can re-configure the timer according to your mileage...

Here's what I mean about the lap times:

The way it currently works:
Stopwatch starts: 0:00
Lap button pressed at 1:52 - Lap shows 1:52
Lap button pressed at 3:50 - Lap shows 3:50
Lap button pressed at 5:33 - Lap shows 5:33
Stopwatch stopped at 7:28 - (no lap shown)

This could be useful for some puposes, but say someone is timing laps of a race and wants to compare the lap times.

Then it should work like this:
Stopwatch starts: 0:00
Lap button pressed at 1:52 - Lap shows 1:52
Lap button pressed at 3:50 - Lap shows 1:58
Lap button pressed at 5:33 - Lap shows 1:43
Stopwatch stopped at 7:28 - Final lap time shown as 1:55

So you can instantly see the third lap was the best at 1:43, which is hard to tell from the cumulative times of the first method.

Do you follow?
