hey guys, ever wonder why u want SE or Ericsson? at least all of u can voice out all the benefits to help others user to choose a better phone rather than they all wasting tons of money on some stupid dumb phone.
list all the point here and i will try to post it up somewhere and let others user compare. brilliants user will understand what will that mean. instead, i have seen people getting more and more confident on thier product.
at least let those who r brilliant and looking for a change have a choice~!

One reason.. so many people are carrying Nokia, that is why I take SE.
Nokia too common, too proud and too much problem esp 8310 and now 7650...
SE forever!

Well, I was initially drawn to Ericsson cuz of their design. I loved the GH688. It was sleek, simple, and elegant to look at. Very straight forward button layout, and the very classy "blue ring" on the antenna.
I loved the feel of that phone... very sturdy... felt bulletproof to me. I loved the magnesium frame that made it so strong.
Second, I really liked the technology behind the company. They always pushed the industry forward. Always innovating and inventing new things. They were one of the first to have a small GSM phone (GF788)... they were one of the first with a "world" GSM phone (I888), one of the first with a pocket sized satellite phone (R190), they invented Bluetooth, they were the first to come up with a small colored screen GSM phone, the first company to make tri-band phones almost a standard in most of their line-up (save for the lowest end models), One of the first with a grayscale screen, and I believe they're the only ones with the "Magic Word" function on their voice-activated models.
They have the thinest Li-Pol battery, they also have one of the smallest GSM phones out (T66 and T600) They were the first to introduce the proximity sensor for speakerphone safety, they had a unified accessory connector much earlier than most GSM phone companies... AND... they never over-priced their phones. (At least I never felt they did)
And their designs have always been (Ericsson anyway) very very classy and elegant... not just with their handsets... even their DECT cordless phones, pagers, 2-way radios, and accessories.
I actually miss the old Ericsson. SE is cool... modern and funky (a little too funky for me) ... Ericsson had a very solid image, and genuine interest in ADVANCED technology... that's why I like them.

Ericsson was always more interested in functions rather than looks. They lost speed in the last years, but eventually regained it with t39 and t68.
There was a period in which Nokia was better (no antenna, x-press on covers, sms with images). But Ericsson quickly filled the gap and took the lead again...
That is why I like Ericsson, and now
I haven't signed any lifetime contract with them, but as long as their phones are better I see no point in changing to Nokia. I don't care if everyone has a device, as long as it is a good one...
I just don't like when people waste money on a brand, just because of it's looks... (I don't like
's new design that much, but it still is way better than Nokia, of course this is a very personal judgement)

I guess its because I find them to be quality . And thats the only thing that counts, that u can rely on a product . I had my GH388 in use for 5 years and i still use it for places I dont want to take my newer ones.;-)

I've always liked the sleak design of the Siemens phones. The M35i and ME45 were just my kind of phones. Unfortunately. Siemens were getting being, when it comes to colour display and making a truly high-end cellular phone. And when my ME45 got stolen some months ago, i did a thorough check of the marked and no phone could beat the T68i in design and functionality.

I've always been an ericsson man. My father's a big fan of ericsson. Can't find quality like that in a nokia. And with
it's even better.
Nokias are just selling because of their trendy cheap ass colors

For me it's not the brand as such. When I feel like getting a new phone, I look at the market and get the one I like the most in design, funktions, usability.......
My first "real" mobile (I'm not counting th Philips Fizz and T10 as "real" ones =) ) was the Nokia 8210. I got it because at the time it was the one phone I liked the most. I still think it is very very good looking (unlike the 8310).
After thatone I wnated to try a Communicator-type phjone so I naturaly got the R380e. It is by far the best phone I ever had and probebly ever will have! Wile I was using it I even discarded my palmtop! If it had had BT and GPRS I would still be carrying the beast around.
Wich brings me to my current phone, the T39m.I bought it one day after release so I have had it fotr over a yearnow. (WOW!!)
I got it because at the time it was the best phone available with all the tecnilogy I wanted, BT, GPRS.......
AND it is nice in design to boot! Very classy looking as most of Ericssons phones.
So I never bought, and never will buy, a phone just because it is made by a particular company,I will allways by the one I like the most at the moment of purchuse, be it, S/E, Panasonic, Nokia.....

I've been through almost all brands (nokia, motorola, philips, sony, sagem) but the most complete brand so far, in terms of functionality and form factor, has been Sony-Ericsson and Siemens. that's why I stayed with those 2 brands ever since (t68i and ME45)
