It started after trying to setup my email with Cingular. The lady on the phone had me press: *#06# to get my imei number. When I did that while she was on the phone, my phone muted and went silent, but didn't lose the call. I was able to get her back by putting her on hold and retrieving the call. Same thing happened after I tried it the second time. I did retrieve the IMEI number both times. Then later in the day, my T9 was gone. I've tried pressing and hold the * key for upto 20 seconds but to no avail. I've tried powering off the phone as well as removing teh battery for a minute. no luck. I haven't tried a master reset yet 'cause I don't want to lose all my stuff.

Is there another way to get to the T9?

thanks,
chris

Yep,

when you are actually in the middle of composing a text, hit "more" then scroll down to "Dictionary (T9)" then switch it to "on"

Try this,

Go into "Settings" in the "General Tab" scroll down to "Language" then select "Writing Language" Mark "English" and hit save.

@dgilmartin

Thanks dude. saving the English as the writing language worked. Every language in the list was marked, so I unmarked everything but English and saved. BAM! T9's back.

thanks again to all of you for your help,
chris
