here is some quick info:

. Bought brand new w800i on ebay
. Seller stated SE will cover the phone
. Phone has charging problem (I did tried my best to fix, i.e. change battery, charge it overnight and battery still won't fully charged and battery life sucks)
. SE said they will not cover if I bought it from an individual (only cover if bought from a company)
. Ebay seller won't exchange or refund
. Dispute through paypal
. THey request written estimate or invoice of the problem

Here is their request:

In order to continue with the investigation of your claim, we must request
documentation to support your claim that the item is damaged or
significantly not as described. Please obtain a document (such as an
estimate or invoice) from an unbiased third-party, such as a dealer; repair
shop, appraiser, or another individual or organization that is qualified in
the area of the item in question (other than yourself), which details the
extent of the damage or clearly explains how the item received
significantly differs from the item advertised. Please do not proceed with
any repairs or alterations to the item, as doing so will limit PayPals
ability to successfully resolve your claim, and may result in the
cancellation of your dispute. If possible, the document should include a
serial number and description of the item, and the dollar amount required
to complete the repairs necessary to correct the damage. This document must
be on letterhead that includes the name, address, and phone number of the
individual, business, or organization so that PayPal may contact them if
necessary.

QUESTION: Where can I get one of these document within 10 days? THank you

bugger... im lost on what to do, tbh if you sell it on ebay again you wont fetch that amount unless you decide not to declare the problem (not recommending it tho).... Have you tried a ony ericson service centre?

At a stab, id say there is something like sun or heat damage, this can kill the battery life..... it happened to my spv m1000 ages ago, i left it on my car backshelf in the sun all day... next moring the phones battery life was crap - even when i changed the battery...... nightmare!

hope you get it sorted, im sure if someone knows what youre lookign for here, they will help ya out

well mate you have got stuck...the best palce to get a instant written estimate is your closest SE service center....My suggestion would be If the phones working fine..change the battery....It could be also the battery is dead and will revive itself after a number of full charges..Try that see if it works...!

There was this seller on Ebay- Amnshop..I ordered K 700i replacement panels from him....What he displayed was an Orignal K 700 Panel and what I got was the cheap plastic chinese made version..He never admitted sending me the fake ones..I complained to everyone one I could on Ebay, But No one cares or responds...Ebay is non-ethical enterprise do your business at your own risk.....!

arg.. called SE and they only have one service center in the states.which is far away. They said I have to send it in but the cost is $200 in order for them to look at the phone. I hate this
