Got a K750i with Optus in Australia and tried to update from R1L002 and SEUS says there are no updates available. Is this so?? I seem to have quite a few updates but not for Oz?

I have an Australian k750i and it has access to all the same firmwares that our European counterparts have. I believe your phone might be locked to Optus, and you will only be able to update this through them. I purchased mine outright, so I have complete control and ownership on my phone.

Cheers - daza.

I have a W800i in Australia with optus. It came from Optus and has the Optus customisations but is not locked. I have had no problems updating the Firmware in line with EU_2 updates. Are you definately using SEUSII? If I were you I'd wait on updating until there is more feedback on R1B002. If you do upgrade now you may get R1AA008 (or R1B002). If you get R1AA008 you will get better reception, better videos and better earpiece volumes. But on the downside - you will get hissing/static between songs (probably not applicable to K750) and the parameter incorrect bug(happens when you xfer files from the phone via usb). Personally, I think R1AA008 is better than the older Firmwares - except for the annoying bugs. I hope these are addressed in R1B002.

Check the K750/w800 firmware overpost. People are updating right now. You'll find just about all you f/w questions answered here.

I just upgraded SEUS to SEUS II 2.2.13.7d and ran it .... got an update on my Optus branded k750i to R1BC002.

Hopefully this fixes a few of the bugs the phone has.

@ Strahan

i had the same problem... you'll have to flash the phone using davinci.

use the EU2 firmware files for both the MAIN & FS, this gives you the unbranded generic UK K750i... no branding & no zoo junk

the important part is to use the right CDA... 102338/38 (for australia), not listed in the options but type it in manually.

using the right CDA will allow update thru SEUS II... my K750i has had i think 4 updates since i flashed it back in july 2005. this was prior to the CID, red, brown stuff... i don't think it would be any different

search the web, get the info you need... the choice is yours. there's always a risk something can go wrong! if so buy another davinci credit, re:flash & you should be okay.

i killed my wife's w550 last night using SEUS II??? i fixed it by reflashing it using davinci & back to normal! didn't have the time to take it back to a service centre to fix a problem cause by se... fixed it myself.
