it had inserted a sim card into my 6230 and it says insert sim card!!!
but my sim is in!
any ideas anyone?

Yeah it could be locked to a network, also is it inserted properly i find that with nokia's you sometimes have to have a couple of goes before it is in properly.

Common 6230 prob, if cleaning sim and reader doesn't work is prob a firmware fault and phone needs reflashing.

maybe ,bad contacts in your phone.
I had similar problem with my p900.
After cleaning of contacts,phone read sim card without any problems.
