Recently got my W900i back from the SE workshop [my updating service configuration was all messed up]
so i handed it in so they could flash/upgrade

the first thing i tried was to sync it, but i only managed to sync like 40 numbers then it lost connection [no idea why] tried like 10 times before i gave up. FileTransfer works just like it should no problems what so ever but the phonemode/sync does not work,

i thought that if i dl the latest pc-suite it would solve the problem.. but was i mistaking.. now it wount even connect at all. cant find the phone, but still the filetransfer works.

-i have changed usb-ports too if that is of any help

any tips for this problem, i need to sync my phone to get all my numbers back.

Hi, apologies that this isn't to do with your syncing problem, but i wanted to know something that's really important to me about the new R5BB001 firmware.

could you tell me if it reads the artist/title/album tags in the walkman player for .m4a files? My current firmware won't, it's R5AF001. All m4a files get put in the unknown artist menu, but mp3s get their own artist and album menu entry in the walkman player.

Here's a short m4a to test with (it has album/artist/title tags):

I'd really appreciate if you could quickly test it out.

Regarding your sync problems, you could try uninstalling all the SE suite, and then going to c:\documents and settings\your username\application data\ and deleting the sony ericsson folder. Reboot and re-install the SE suite. Hopefully it should now work.

Tried it throu the walkman meny [no album/info] and it can't be played
same with playing without the walkman meny, list it but not play it.

I have a french imported Black W900i and there is no setting for Text message delivery reports! Anyone else have this problem?
My software is vershion: R5AH001

Failing this i would flash the handset myself.
Where do your get the software to flash your handset? There isn't any firmware updates on the SE website yet.
Or have you been sending the handset off?
I only just got the handset i don't want to send it off!

Just did the MR on my new f/w installed the new PC-Suite, but can't get the phone detected in sync... filetransfer works..

what can i do, get it back to the SE workshop?

Been bitching about this awhile now, so this morning i decided to call SE-support and get some info, so i was there in the phone explaining what was not working/working bla bla bla, meanwhile i hook up the phone so i could give him the exakt info what's happening... AND WHAT HAPPENS..

the f**ker is detected... i mean what are the odds!!! i was just... you know what... it works... haha i am ashamed..

but i still don't know what was wrong before.... but it works now =)

Edit: mysh, i still can't play your file, it list's it as a sound file but i can't play it, works on my computer thou. give me another one?
