in addition, you could also use programs like Float's Mobile Agent (FMA) or MyPhoneExplorer (MPE) and save your text messages in your hard disk

my link above is to My Phone Explorer. FMA is rather useless these days for K750, although it does do sms sync.

I think the limit is 200 or something near that

The limit for text messages on the K750i is 200 in total, meaning it counts messages in your Inbox, Drafts and Sent Messages folders to the total count. So if you have sent 90 messages, have a 100 in your Inbox and saved 10 in Drafts; you're screwed. You won't be able to send or receive any messages. When you do try you get this prompt to first get rid of some messages.
It happened to me on a few occasions. Also, you could loose incoming messages. This happened to me once. Got the notification of an incoming text, then got the prompt that there is no more space, do I want to delete or save to sim card? I then moved a few to the sim card, but I did not get the incoming text message - got lost somewhere...
Get yourself MyPhoneExplorer and copy all your messages to the Archive, then you can delete your messages from your phone.
