Hi I got a nokia 8800 here, but its got a slight fault. On screen almost all the time it shows a headphone or car symbol? No idea why but it does, also its on vodafone and has a IM symbol in the menu (instant messaging I presume) when I click it it resets... any idea why? or how these things can be sorted?

sounds like the phone thinks theres a handsfree kit inserted. could be a problem with the connector, probably means the mic and ear speaker wont work as it thinks it's in handsfree mode.

the im thing could be settings, or a software fault. if so, the handsfree problem could be sw related too.
