Hi guys I have a p910i
I do not have profimail, as I prefer to use the phones own client!
I now have a gmail account (thanks guys) but i cant get it to work!
I can send emails but not read them?
Evenwhen i send em it says problem copying messages!
Is there an idiots guide to how to set it up?
I have searched theses forums but have not found exactly what i'm after!
I set up my o2 and yahoo accounts no problem but this is hard!

step by step guide to get gmail on default mail app of P910i T Mobile USA. similarly can be done in UK or elsewhere
1) GMAIL: Settings-> Forwarding and Pop -> Enable POP
2) Login to Tmobile account
3) Settings for My Email on Tmobile
4) Set up email account with
xyz@gmail.com and password to poll gmail to Tmobile's Email Service.
5) Create an account on Tmobile Email to access( Gmail's Polled email folder) normally the format is xxxxxxxxxx:1 (username) and pass: is regular pass to check tmobile bill
6) Come back to Control Panel of P910i and set messaging account as follows.
incoming mail server: myemail.t-mobile.com same for SMTP
username: xxxxxxxxxx:1 (There could be different number other than 1 refer to ur tmobile email account settings)
and password: same to access tmobile website.
and ur DONE...

Ok heres one alternative way to get your GMails in your P910i. I have also tried configuring my P910i to get my GMails a looooooong time ago and gave up because of the SSL issues not found in the configuration option of the P910i (at least according to other forums that I have read).
Luckily GMail has a mail forwarding feature. I recommed you to try out BlueBottle (www.bluebottle.com) they provide POP3 and 250mb for the free account. Athough the down side is when you reply, you wont be able to use ur Gmail address, but at least you can retrieve your emails using your P910i. So just configure your Gmail to forward your mails to your BlueBottle account and have it retrieved by your P910i from there. Hope this helps.

... Although the down side is when you reply, you wont be able to use ur Gmail address ...
But if you're using the P910's email client, isn't it just a case of entering the Gmail address in the 'Email address' field of the account you've set up to retrieve the mails to the phone?
This works for me in a similar situation.
