> Wierd p905 battery charging problem
Bookmark topic
When charging my p905 the battery just suddenly stops charging and to get it to charge I have to press down on the charger cable (the bit where the lightning symbol is on the part of the charger that connects to the phone). Still it is not guaranteed to charge as the phone stops charging and then I hear the beep that confirms the phone is charging then randomly the charging stops and the cycle repeats. I have tried a friend's charger as well and the same thing happens so I know its not the charger. does anybody know what could be causing this problem. Up till a couple of weeks ago ive never had this sort of problem. Im thinking of opening the phone up (dont worry ive done it before) and then seeing what could be wrong but if anyone knows another way to fix this problem then please advise me. thanks

It's the phones connector.take it to a service.I am not a big fan of this kind of connectors, from this point of view,Nokia's is better and simpler.

over time the contacts on the base of the phone oxidise.try using a pin to gently scratch the used contacts.the one time i tried it, it worked.good luck.

to prevent a short-circuit I would use a toothpick instead of a pin and it cleans the corrosion just fine.
